Logging
How do I log with a sentence or my voice?
On the Today screen, type a sentence, or hold the microphone and speak, for example "4 oz bottle at 2pm and a dirty diaper". Burp turns it into entries, shows them to you, and lets you undo right away. When it is unsure, it asks you to confirm first.
This uses AI logging, which you turn on once (Settings, AI and data, AI logging). AI logging is part of Premium; buttons are always free and unlimited. Your sentence is sent to our AI provider only to turn it into entries; see our Privacy Policy.
How do I log with buttons?
On the Today screen, tap the type of entry (bottle, nursing, diaper, sleep and so on). The start time is already filled in with now; adjust it if needed, add the details, and save.
There is no timer to start and stop: log a feed or a nap after the fact, and add the end time only if you want to.
How do I change or delete an entry?
Tap the entry in Today or History to open it, change what you need, or tap Delete entry. Changes reach everyone in your household.
Sharing with your partner
How do I invite the other parent?
First save your log with an account (Apple, Google or email). Then open the Family tab and tap Invite someone. Send them the link (getburp.app/join/...) by message, or give them the 6 character code.
They install Burp, then open the link, or tap I have an invite and enter the code. An invite works once and is valid for 7 days. Inviting a parent is free; sitter and grandparent roles need Premium.
Do we both see the same log?
Yes. Everyone in the household sees every entry, with the name of the person who logged it. In Settings, choose whether you get notified when your partner logs (instantly, in an hourly digest, or not at all) and set quiet hours for the night.
Does Burp work offline?
Yes. Entries you log offline are saved on your phone and sync automatically when you are back online; the app shows Offline in the meantime. AI logging needs a connection: simple sentences may still be understood on the phone, otherwise your sentence stays in the field so you can send it again.
Premium and subscription
What does Premium include?
Ask Burp (questions about your log), night summaries and trends, importing your history from another app, sitter and grandparent roles, and AI logging without the daily limit. One subscription covers your whole household.
In the United States, Premium costs $12.99 a month or $89.99 a year, with a 7 day free trial on the annual plan. Prices may vary by country and are always shown in the app before you confirm. See our Terms.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Your subscription is managed by Apple or Google. In Burp, go to Settings, Manage my subscription. Or:
- iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Burp, Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play, your profile picture, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Burp, Cancel subscription.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or the current period. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
I changed phones. How do I get Premium back?
Sign in with the same account, then go to Settings, Manage my subscription, and restore your purchase.
Your data
How do I import my history from another app?
Go to Settings, Import your history (Premium). Burp reads exports from Baby Tracker (Nighp), Huckleberry and Glow Baby, and any CSV file with one row per entry. The app shows how to export from each one. Entries already in Burp are skipped, and you can undo an import for 24 hours.
Can I export my log?
Yes, at any time: Settings, Export all data. You get a CSV file with every entry.
How do I delete my account and data?
Go to Settings, Delete my account. If you are the only member of your household, the whole log is deleted. Otherwise your partner keeps the shared log. This cannot be undone, and it does not cancel your subscription: cancel it first. Details in our Privacy Policy.
Is Burp medical advice?
No. Burp describes what you logged; it never says whether something is normal and never gives medical advice. If you are worried about your baby, call your pediatrician. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
